Sarah is a British contemporary artist whose work explores how we connect, what we believe, and how we perceive reality. Her practice strides the tension between conceptualism/ephemeral and a love for physical objects and craft. Embracing multiplicity, and systems, her wide-ranging practice spans painting, performance, websites, objects, social interventions and hypnotic storytelling.
She studied at Camberwell College of Art (Foundation) and Theatre Design at Wimbledon College of Art (BA).
Sarah's work is shaped by two parallel careers: her 14 years as a film industry set designer, bringing a sense of space, storytelling, and illusion to her work, whilst her practice as a hypnotherapist and bodyworker have helped her explore the human experience, and ideas around utopias, partswork and subconscious storytelling.
She has co-built worlds for major studios and broadcasters including Disney, HBO, Warner Bros, Netflix, and BBC.
2019 saw her first public funded research with Arts Council England, with AI Dreams.
